Disneyland Paris has unveiled the next phase of the Disney Village transformation, and several places to eat are affected. According to the official announcement, a new Italian restaurant is coming, Annette’s Diner is still under refurbishment, Vapiano will be renovated and Rainforest Café will close permanently by the end of 2026.
What is arriving and what is reopening
Casa Giulia is due to open by the end of 2026 at the entrance of Disney Village, close to the cinema and the World of Disney shop. The Italian restaurant, run by Groupe Bertrand (also the operator of Brasserie Rosalie), spans two floors with about 600 seats and a 120-seat terrace. Its menu and ingredients will change with the seasons, alongside a selection of Italian drinks and cocktails. It will also house Giulia Express, a quick-service and takeaway space with a 40-seat terrace serving pizza by the slice, focaccias, pastries and ice cream.
Annette’s Diner, closed for several months for refurbishment, is due to reopen in the first quarter of 2027. The announcement mentions enlarged kitchens, a fully renovated dining room with new booths, restored jukeboxes and a terrace that will reopen. The restaurant continues to be presented by Ben & Jerry’s.
What is closing or under works
Rainforest Café will close permanently by the end of 2026; the announcement gives no exact date. Vapiano will undergo a full renovation from the end of 2026, due to finish in early 2027, with a new children’s play area upstairs and new terrace furniture. The Pathé cinema will also be renovated in phases, the first starting in September, so that it stays mostly open; the project includes a Pathé Café with a wider food and drink offer and a Häagen-Dazs space with a terrace.
For Christmas, the Sports Bar & Lounge will get stronger festive decoration from November, and a limited-edition Coca-Cola coaster will be given, while stocks last, with a Coca-Cola drink ordered there.
What it means for your meals
If you visit in 2026-2027, do not count on Annette’s Diner before its announced return, or on Rainforest Café after the end of 2026. Keep an alternative, and check that Casa Giulia has opened before building a plan around it. The announcement gives no prices, detailed menu, opening hours, exact opening or reopening date, or details on access to Vapiano during works. A later phase, the “South Block”, is mentioned with works starting next year, without details yet.
